What you'll make
A complete product page description for a Shopify store — headline, benefit-led intro, feature bullets, specs section and a closing that pushes toward purchase. Written to convert, not just to describe.
What you need
- A Claude account
- A product with its basic details: what it is, materials, dimensions, price, who it's for
- Any customer reviews or feedback you have (even a few quotes help)
- 20 minutes
Steps
- Give Claude the product details and ask for the full page copy:
I'm writing a product page for my Shopify store. Here are the product details:
Product: [name]
What it is: [brief description]
Materials: [e.g. stainless steel, organic cotton]
Dimensions: [size, weight]
Price: [price]
Who it's for: [target buyer]
What problem it solves: [the main benefit]
Write the product page copy with these sections:
1. Headline (6–10 words, benefit-led, not just the product name)
2. Intro paragraph (2–3 sentences that make the buyer picture using it)
3. Key features as bullet points (5–7 bullets, each starting with a benefit not a spec)
4. Specs section (materials, dimensions, care instructions — plain and factual)
5. Closing line (one sentence that creates urgency without being pushy)
Write like you're talking to [target buyer]. No words like "revolutionary", "game-changing" or "ultimate".
- If you have customer reviews or feedback, add them to make the copy more convincing:
Here are real customer quotes about this product:
[paste 2–3 reviews or feedback]
Rewrite the intro paragraph to incorporate the strongest customer quote naturally. Don't fabricate reviews — only use what I've given you. If the quotes mention a specific benefit, make sure that benefit appears in the feature bullets too.
- Ask Claude for a meta description for search engines:
Write a meta description for this product page. Rules:
- Under 155 characters
- Contains the product name and main benefit
- Reads like a sentence, not a tag list
- Makes someone want to click through from Google
- Review the copy. Read it out loud — if any sentence sounds like an ad instead of a person explaining a product, rewrite it or ask Claude to make it more conversational:
Rewrite the intro paragraph to sound more conversational. Imagine you're explaining this product to a friend, not selling it. Remove any superlatives.
Check your result
- The headline leads with a benefit, not just the product name
- Each feature bullet starts with what the buyer gets, not just a specification
- The copy includes at least one real customer quote (if you provided reviews)
- No superlatives or marketing buzzwords — it reads like a honest, specific description
- The meta description is under 155 characters and contains the product name
If the copy feels generic ("this premium product is crafted with the finest materials"), you haven't given Claude enough specifics. Feed it real details: "made from 304 stainless steel, 22cm long, dishwasher safe, designed for people who camp at least once a month." Specificity is what makes product copy convert.
